Cruise and Ferry Terminals

Ancona is a city located on the Adriatic coast of Italy. It’s the provincial capital of the Marche region and offers spectacular vistas and a wonderful coastline with beautiful sandy beaches. This seaside city takes its name from the elbow shaped promontory which originally protected the harbour.

Cruise Ships are docked alongside the XXIX Settembre Pier at Molo Santa Maria, Stazione Marittima in Porto di Ancona. Plenty of hotels are located within close distance of the port terminal.

Ships and ferries approaching the Port of Ancona are welcomed by the marble Arch of Trajan, atop of the harbour wall. It’s one of the finest Roman monuments in the Marche, founded in 114-115 in honor of Trajanus. The cruise passenger terminal of Ancona is located within walking distance of the town center. Ships dock at the XXIX Settembre Pier at Molo S. Maria.

Main cruise lines operating from the port are MSC Cruises and Costa Cruises.

Savona is also a major ferry port, with connections to Greece, Croatia, Albania, and Montenegro. Ferry operators include Anek Lines, Minoan Lines, Superfast Ferries, SNAV, and Blue Line Ferries.

Several accommodations are located within close distance of the terminals. Some hotels nearby offer splendid harbour views, others overlook either the sea or the historic centre. The Teatro delle Muse theatre and train station is not far away from these properties. Both luxury 4 star and cheap hotels can be found within close distance of the port.
