The state-of-the-art facility, designed the British company BDP, covers 8,000 square metres and includes shops, restaurants, tourist information desk, conference facilities and office space as well. The Ghaf, which is UAE’s national tree, was used as inspiration of the roof’s design distinctive lattice structure. Wooden features inside are inspired by traditional dhow sailing vessels.
