Train Station – TGV and Centre
There a 2 train stations in Avignon. Gare Avignon Centre is the closest to where the boats tie up.
Most TGV trains leave from the other station ; Gare Avignon Local trains connect the two stations.
Gare Avignon TGV – Quartier de Courtine
There is a TGV high speed train direct line to Paris (2h40), Charles de Gaulle airport, Lille, Nantes, Rouen, Metz, Montpellier, Genève, Bruxelles, Lyon, Marne la Vallée, Rennes, Toulouse and Strasbourg.
There are regular train links to the city center and centre station which takes about 4 minutes.
Gare Avignon Centre – Boulevard Saint-Roch
City center station located only a short walk from the main sights in the old city.

There are also some TGV services each day from Paris to Avignon Centre station, but these trains take about an hour longer than the services to Avignon TGV.
